LMS-CMI Research School: New Trends in Representation Theory
05 Oct 2016, by Sponsored events in19-28 June 2017
University of Leicester
Organisers: Karin Baur (U Graz), Sibylle Schroll (Leicester) and Nick Woodhouse (CMI)
In this research school we focus on three of the most recent advances that have emerged in representation theory through cluster theory: n-representation theory, integrable systems and friezes, and silting and infinite dimensional representations. The major recent international interest and the scope for further breakthroughs demonstrate the timeliness of the research school. These newly emerged areas of mathematics are enriched by their interactions with other areas of mathematics such as category theory, dynamical systems and mathematical physics.
