Career Development Event: Fellowships, grants and research council funding, online

27 Oct 2020, by Lowri Jamieson in Events

Thursday 19 November 2020, 12:00 – 13:00

In this session we will explore the research funding landscape in the UK, focussing on opportunities for early career researchers. We will aim to address some of the following questions (and more):

– What schemes are available to me?

– What are the components of an application?

– How will my application be assessed?

– What makes a good application?

– How do I manage my own research budget?

The first part of the session will feature a presentation by Mark Jenkinson and Nishtha Agarwal from the Mathematical Sciences section at EPSRC. In the second half, Mark and Nishtha will be joined by Tim Burness (Associate Chair of HIMR) and Bristol colleagues Márton Balász (Reader in Probability) and Min Lee (Lecturer and Royal Society URF) for a panel discussion and Q&A.

The Zoom meeting link will be circulated by email the day before.
