Congratulations to Jonathan Chapman
12 Apr 2021, by News inCongratulations to Jonathan Chapman, Heilbronn Fellow starting in October 2021, who has been awarded an LMS Early Career Fellowship 2020-21. Jonathan will be working with Dr Sam Chow at the University of Warwick, on their proposed research project “Partition and Density Regularity for Polynomial Equations”. These Fellowships support early career mathematicians in the transition between PhD and a post-doctoral position. The London Mathematical Society offers up to 8 Fellowships of between 3 and 6 months to mathematicians who have recently or will shortly receive their PhD. Fellowships are partially supported by the Heilbronn Institute (part of the funds are from the EPSRC Additional Funding Scheme).
This is part of a larger HIMR/LMS partnership. The Heilbronn Institute is partnering with the LMS to support A-level students from under-represented backgrounds in Maths through the Levelling-Up and to support undergraduates through the LMS undergraduate summer research programme and post-doctoral through the LMS early career programme.
