Congratulations to Ben Barber, Heilbronn Fellow in Manchester, who has accepted a position at Riverlane starting this summer.  Alongside his research interests in extremal combinatorics, graph theory and Ramsey theory, Ben enjoys finding new ways to tell the stories behind mathematical ideas.  Ben joined the Heilbronn Institute in Bristol in 2015, and four years later joined the then newly established Heilbronn Research group in Manchester.

Ben works in combinatorics, which means he studies discrete structures, and in particular graph theory, the mathematical framework for understanding relationships and connectedness.  Some of Ben’s recent papers have been published in Discrete Mathematics, Random Structures & Algorithms and Discrete Analysis.

We would like to wish Ben every success in his new position.
