University of Bath, UK
A new collaboration initiative on the mathematical modelling of interacting sand dunes, with particular emphasis on the statistical and probabilistic models. The purpose of this initiative would be to bring together the leading experts in the mathematical modelling of sand dunes at different levels of resolution, as well as experimentalists, to explore how the existing statistical physics models of dune fields could be updated to reflect the state-of-the-art understanding of the underlying physics.
