A working retreat to enable a group of researchers to come together for the first time and collaborate on a new problem in topology and shape optimisation methods, for confined liquid crystalline systems. The aim of this retreat is to kickstart the research and to enhance the connectivity of the research team, on ambitious and challenging mathematical problems.
