The aim of the workshop is to bring together expertise in this field to produce some publishable outputs, and to decide on a plan for future directions of research. The primary objective is to clearly and rigorously identify all the categories of spaces that should be considered, and thus extend the functor categories for groups: Mackey functors, Bredon functors (including orbit categories) and Hecke operators and G-functors à la Yoshida. All these depend on families of subgroups of a given (topological) group G, called a Mackey system for G. Once the essential setting clearly set, we aim to study cohomological finiteness conditions for Mackey functors for a tdlc group G over suitable categories of G-spaces, and compare them with other cohomology theories for the other functor categories and with the rational cohomology.
