Congratulations to Stephen Piddock, Heilbronn Research Fellow, who has been offered a lectureship position at Royal Holloway, University of London starting this autumn.

Stephen joined the Heilbronn Institute in October 2018 following his PhD from the University of Bristol under the supervision of Ashley Montanaro (Maths, Bristol) and Raphael Clifford (Computer Science, Bristol).  His research has two main focuses: Hamiltonian complexity and quantum algorithms.  His recent paper with Tamara Kohler, Johannes Bausch and Toby Cubitt ‘General conditions for universality of Quantum Hamiltonians‘, has been published in PRX Quantum last January.
