Congratulations to Jason Semeraro
21 Jul 2022, by News inCongratulations to Jason Semeraro, former Heilbronn fellow, who has been awarded a three-year EPSRC New Investigator Award for his project on “Exotic Representation Theory”. The EPSRC New Investigator Awards are specifically aimed at supporting those looking to make the transition to an independent researcher. The award will support Jason’s ongoing research and give him the opportunity to initiate his own independent research group.
Jason joined the Heilbronn Institute following his DPhil from Oxford in 2013 under the supervision of David Craven and Michael Collins. He is interested in using homotopy theory to extend the representation theory of Lie-type groups to the setting of spetses which have complex reflection groups as Weyl groups. Jason left the Heilbronn Institute in 2019 and has been a Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Leicester since then.
We wish Jason every success in his future research.
