The Jacobian conjecture is one of the most famous unsolved problems in mathematics, and lies in a notoriously difficult and abstract subfield of maths called Algebraic Geometry. There is a potential alternative route to the Jacobian conjecture using tools from combinatorics and probability. We are exploring these tools. The targets of the workshop are to make significant progress on proving either subcases or weak forms of the Jacobian conjecture.
