Congratulations to Nick Jones, Heilbronn Fellow, who has been offered a five-year Supernumerary Teaching Fellowship in Mathematics at St John’s College, Oxford starting in the new academic year.
Nick joined the Heilbronn Institute in 2017 after obtaining his PhD from Bristol under the supervision of Jon Keating and Jonathan Robbins. Nick is a mathematical physicist, his research focusing on problems in quantum many-body physics, a field at the centre of modern theoretical and mathematical physics. Nick is particularly interested in topological quantum phases of matter and the phase transitions between them, as well as integrable models. His paper ‘Integrable spin chains and the Clifford group‘ with his collaborator Noah Linden has recently been published in the Journal of Mathematical Physics.
We wish Nick every success in his new position.
