Focused Research | Structural Stability: Combinatorics, Geometry and Topology
30 May 2024, by Sponsored events in23 September – 4 October 2024
School of Mathematics, Lancaster University, UK
The workshop will focus on understanding the rigidity or flexibility of discrete structures. Key topics will include:
o algebraic methods for topological shifting a simplicial complex while preserving rigidity theoretic information;
o matroidal tools for understanding rigidity-type situations arising in matrix and tensor product completions;
o developing a better understanding of new rigidity properties such as weakly globally linked pairs and maximum likelihood thresholds.
