Celebrating the Brilliant Thomas Fuller
Tuesday 22 October 2024 (Online Event)

Supported by The Heilbronn Institute Small Grants Scheme, and the London Mathematical Society
The event discovered the story of Thomas Fuller – a brilliant mathematician who was sold into slavery in 1724 aged 10. These cross curricular events brought together maths and history to celebrate his genius. Participants explored the history of Thomas Fuller and took part in mental maths challenges. Professor Nira Chamberlain, founder of Black Heroes of Mathematics, hosted the sessions with the Big Ideas Team.
