Focused Research Grants: Call for Applications

The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research offers a number of grants for projects supportive of UK mathematical research. Applications will be considered by the FRG panel shortly after the closing date. Once the panel has completed its evaluation, all applicants will receive a notification about the result of their application.

The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research is offering a number of grants of up to £8,000.
Scope of the scheme
The Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research is offering a number of grants to fund focused research groups to work on adventurous and challenging mathematical problems, or to discuss a significant new developments in mathematics. There should be a clear problem to be addressed by bringing together a group of around 4-8 people for approximately a week. The funding is to be used to support travel and local expenses for visitors. Focused research workshops are expected to take place in the UK, usually at the applicant’s institution. Grants will not be awarded to fund travel outside the UK.
