21 Apr 2022, by Sponsored events in23 – 25 August 2022
Advanced Research Centre, University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK
Supported by The Heilbronn Institute Small Grants Scheme
Y-RANT is an annual conference aimed at young researchers (PhD students and postdocs) working in or interested in algebraic number theory, analytic number theory and related topics. The conference is a great chance to meet other students from across the country and discuss research and ideas with them. It is also a good opportunity to explain your research work to other young researchers. It consists of mostly short talks of around 20 minutes running across 2 parallel sessions with the intention of providing the opportunity for every conference participant to speak. Participants are actively encouraged to give talks on ongoing research, or even expository talks on areas of interest, targeted at a wide range of backgrounds. There will be 3 plenary talks and a career panel. The plenary talks will be given by leading academics across number theory and surrounding areas.
Organisers:
Adam Morgan (Glasgow)
Ross Paterson (Glasgow)
Plenary Speakers:
Rachel Newton (KCL)
James Newton (Oxford)
Jessica Fintzen (Bonn)
